Lampwork- The earliest known objects of man-made glass are beads. They have been used by almost every culture as symbols of wealth, beauty, and even money. I create each of these unique beads using a torch and glass rods in varying colors. |

What a fun bead to make! I created these 11 rectangular lampwork glass beads with 3 layers of glass and a lot of time and patience. The result, as seen in a close-up below, are these beautiful black and white, webbed beads. I paired them with Onyx and sterling silver to let the lampwork beads really standout on their own. And I will give credit to my Aunt Ann for requesting a necklace with these beads and I hear she is very happy with her set! This beautiful piece is metal strung with a solid sterling silver lobster claw clasp and has an extender chain to adjust the length. Solid Sterling Post Earrings with my Lampwork Bead and Swarovski Crystal completes the set.
