This was a very exciting necklace to dream up and create. I wanted to give the impression of swirling clouds in my beads and in the sterling silver wire. The first step was making the 5 large lampwork beads with swirls of color on a ivory glass base. I then wrapped each of my lampwork beads with sterling silver wire as seen in the close-up below. I finished the idea of swirling storm clouds by linking the lampwork beads with hammered wire swirls and onyx. What a joy to create and my only hope is that it gives just as much joy to the wearer. Solid Sterling Leverback earrings with My Lampwork Beads and sterling silver wire wrap completes the set.
